In Proverbs 31, King Lemuel wrote an acrostic poem praising his wife. He wrote it as a guide for men so they could see how they should praise their own wife.

I love how Rachel Heldevens explains Proverbs 31 in her article "3 things you might not know about Proverbs 31".
Proverbs isn't and never was intended to focus on women's "roles". It focuses on Women of Valor, "Women of Virtue" and a husband praising his wife for being so excellent to him.
However, I believe Proverbs 31 is still a good guide for women to follow to honor God and to strive to be an excellent wife like King Lemuel's wife. It shows an example of how we can be women of valor:
*She is more precious than rubies
*She is trusted by her husband
*She does her husband good
*She works hard, whether at home or at a job
*She feeds her family
*She makes sure that her family is well taken care of at all hours of the day
*She is strong
*She helps the poor and reaches her hand out to the needy
*She makes sure her family is dressed well
*She has wisdom and speaks with wisdom
*She teaches kindness
*She isn't lazy
*She fears the Lord
*She is a virtuous woman (True, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellence, holy and beloved, compassionate, kind, humble, meek, and patient. - Philippians 4:8, Colossians 3:12, 2 Peter 1:5)
*She lives by the fruits of the Spirit (Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. - Galatians 5:22-23)
Even if you're not a married woman, you can still live by most of Proverbs 31:10-31. If you plan on finding a husband, find one like King Lemuel that will praise you with a little poem or song.
All kidding aside, find a good, strong Christian man that will appreciate you and love you.
Your future husband should strive to be an Ephesians 5 man. One who
wants to be an imitator of God, live as a beloved child of God, walks in love, be a light in the Lord, discern what is pleasing to the Lord, walk in wisdom, be filled with the Spirit, praising God, giving thanks always, wanting to fully love his future wife, wanting to spiritually lead his future wife, present himself in splendor, and willing to leave his father and mother to be united as one with his future wife.
Not only should he strive to be an Ephesians 5 man, but he too should be virtuous and live by the fruits of the Spirit.
No one is perfect, but in everything we do, we should strive to be more Christ-like and honor God.
