Something's on Fire II

When I was on fire the Holy Spirit moved through me. God was speaking to me, giving me answers and talking to me. I cry and get Holy Ghost bumps when that happens. It's how I know God is there with me. The Holy Spirit is moving within me and I want more.
I still feel the fire every day; when I read the bible, pray, do good things for others, etc.

I will put my Spirit in you and you will live. -Ezekiel 37:14
Keep the Fire Going

To keep the fire going I talk to God, I expect God's presence and him to talk to me when I go to church, by reading my bible, working on posts for the Purpose and Love blog, etc.
You can feel the Holy Spirit move through salvation, good works, a heart for God and know that his word is more than just a feeling, it’s action and change. You can't feel him just through good works, it’s also through salvation.
At times you won’t ‘feel’ the presence of the Holy Spirit, but believe, and have faith knowing God is always there with you no matter the feelings. He will never leave you nor forsake you.

We must empty ourselves of ourselves to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit we should possess the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness, Goodness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. -Galatians 5:22-23. We also receive one or more of the 9 gifts from the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Discerning Spirits, Interpretation of Tongues, Knowledge, Prophecy, Tongues, Miracles, Healing.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. -Galatians 5:16
We need to live a life worthy of the calling we received from the Lord. Ephesians 4:1-16
What is your calling? You’re calling will fall under one of these categories Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher just to name a few. No matter what we have as a career path everyone is a teacher of some kind. We are always teaching each other something. We can't teach what we don't know, only what we ourselves have been taught.

Are you blocking the Holy Spirit from setting you on fire or from moving within you? You can block the Holy Spirit by quenching it. “Do not quench the Spirit” 1 Thessalonians 5:19. Quenching the Holy Spirit is trying to Silence what God is trying to tell us. You can also block the Holy Spirit by not following the will of God. When we resist the Holy Spirit we are resisting God. Another way to block the Holy Spirit is by ignoring God. When we ignore God we are suppressing the knowledge of God. The Holy Spirit is also blocked when we don't confess our sins. The Holy Spirit grieves when we sin.

The Holy Spirit grieves when we sin
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. -Ephesians 4:30
When we resist God we are blocking the Holy Spirit, God may put us through a trial until we stop resisting.
When we block the Holy Spirit we can't feel him move or set us on fire. We may block the Holy Spirit and not even know. We need to work on unblocking the Holy Spirit so we can be set on fire!

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you -Acts 1:8
I hope you feel the Holy Spirit move today and every day. I hope he ignites a fire in you so bright that it will never go out.

How have you felt the Holy Spirit move?
